Book: The Land of Us

Chapbooks made their appearance in the British Isles in the 16th Century. These sheets of paper containing poems and all manner of news began to be folded and became booklets of 8-32 pages. These small spineless poetry books tend to focus on a specific theme.

Thomas Wolf said that you can't "go home again." In 21 poems of The Land of Us, Melanie Maier revisits and shows us how family, and places, inform and shape the woman she becomes.
