Melanie Maier Poetry - Books (sticking to earth)

Creating a book of poetry is a multi-tasked job: writing the poems; deciding which to include in the book; revision of the poems; ordering the poems; selecting print type and art to be included; finally the layout. Then proofs are sent for correction before going to press. Jim Natal and Tania Baban of Conflux Press have created a beautiful book.

sticking to earth takes experiences and images from Melanie's life and focuses on what stays. She hopes that these verbal snapshots will resonate with whomever chooses to read them.

Melanie’s new chapbook The Land Of Us was published (January 2009) by Puddinghouse Publications, the largest literary small press in the US.
